Olawale Dare, a security aide to Seyi Tinubu, has accused controversial sex therapist Hauwa Saidu, popularly known as Jaruma, of demanding ₦100 million from him and threatening to accuse him of rape if he failed to pay.
Dare made the allegations in a statement submitted to the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre on October 8, 2026. The statement was reportedly obtained by SaharaReporters.
According to the security aide, the dispute followed a brief sexual relationship between him and Jaruma after they met at a lounge in Abuja in late 2025.
Dare, who said he had been part of Seyi Tinubu’s security team since 2022, told investigators that a friend identified as Faizal introduced him to Jaruma.
He claimed that they spent the night together at his residence and that she disclosed the following morning that she was a Kayanmata seller. Kayanmata refers to traditional products marketed for women’s intimacy and relationships, particularly in northern Nigeria.
Dare alleged that Jaruma subsequently asked him to invest between ₦100 million and ₦200 million in her business, promising that the investment could generate returns of up to ₦700 million.
He said he rejected the proposal because he did not have the money.
The security aide further claimed that Jaruma later told him she was experiencing a spiritual problem and requested assistance in finding a herbalist or an Islamic cleric. According to him, he could only recommend a Celestial church that provided counselling.
Dare also told the police that Jaruma once complained that her ATM card was not working and requested financial assistance. He claimed he gave her between ₦30,000 and ₦40,000.
However, he alleged that their relationship subsequently deteriorated when Jaruma began demanding a larger sum of money.
According to Dare, she threatened to inform Seyi Tinubu about their relationship unless he paid her ₦100 million.
He told investigators that Jaruma allegedly warned she would expose their affair to his employer if he failed to meet her demand.
Dare further alleged that she threatened to accuse him of rape and claimed that 12 women were prepared to support the allegations.
He said some of his friends advised him against reporting the matter to the authorities at the time. He added that he decided to remain silent to avoid giving Jaruma publicity, particularly because she had yet to release the videos she allegedly threatened to publish.
The allegations remain claims made by Dare, and the account does not establish that Jaruma committed the alleged acts.
Bodyguard Denies Involvement In Cyberstalking Allegations
In the same statement, Dare denied any involvement in the alleged cyberstalking of Rayan Kamal, a businesswoman and personal assistant to Seyi Tinubu.
Kamal’s complaint reportedly prompted a separate police investigation into Jaruma over social media posts allegedly targeting her and Seyi Tinubu.
Jaruma was accused of claiming in several posts that Kamal had dated Seyi Tinubu for three years and that he had established a business for her.
Dare denied conspiring with anyone to target Kamal online. He also rejected any suggestion that he provided Jaruma with Kamal’s personal information.
He maintained that his relationship with Kamal was strictly professional.
The security aide further claimed that he blocked Jaruma after their first meeting and had evidence that she had allegedly been stalking him online.
Dare said he was prepared to provide the evidence to investigators if requested.
Jaruma Faces Two Cyberstalking Charges
The allegations emerged as Jaruma faces two counts of cyberstalking over TikTok posts allegedly targeting Kamal and Seyi Tinubu.
According to a charge sheet dated October 23, 2026, the charges relate to the social media posts that allegedly formed the basis of the complaints against her.
The case adds another development to the controversy surrounding Jaruma and the allegations involving people connected to Seyi Tinubu.
However, the claims made by Dare regarding the alleged ₦100 million demand and threats of a rape accusation remain allegations and should not be treated as established facts.
