Residents, passers-bye within the Oshodi Metropolis of Lagos State were thrown into frenzy yesterday Saturday 30th, January 2021, when the team from Arise Women stormed the area with buses filled with different goodies from Non-Governmental Organization founded by Dr Siju Iluyomade, to give succor to the needy with special focus on women.
The gesture which has been ongoing across the State for the past seven weeks is tagged ‘Arise Pink Bucket’, designed to assist the less privileged with food palliatives during this very harsh economy period. The initiative is part of Arise activities in celebration of its 12th anniversary of impacting many lives across the country through different empowerment, skill acquisition, enlightenment programmes and so many activities to support the effort of government.
Arise Pink Bucket comprises of food stuffs like rice, spaghetti groundnut oil, tomato paste etc. The Oshodi distribution of the food stuff is coming after similar gesture were extended to Epe, Surulere, Lagos Island, Agege, Ikorodu, Ikeja, Ajegunle, Shomolu is in continuation of plans by Arise Women to make sure the palliatives goes across all local government in the State.
