Apostle Johnson Suleman has faulted Nigeria’s leadership in the wake of the recent violence in Jos, describing the situation as a reflection of failed governance.
In a statement shared on social media, the cleric accused those in power of placing politics above the safety of citizens. He argued that the recurring attacks across the country show a lack of commitment to protecting lives.
Suleman warned that history would judge current leaders based on their actions, especially if they continue to prioritise political activities over the welfare of the people.
While acknowledging the role of prayer, he emphasised that it cannot substitute for responsibility and decisive leadership. He called for leaders who demonstrate empathy and genuine concern for citizens, adding that many Nigerians are becoming weary of the ongoing insecurity.
He also expressed sympathy for families affected by the attack, praying for strength and comfort as they deal with their losses.
