Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested three Persons With Disability (PWDs), including a 60-year-old man, over alleged drug trafficking activities during separate operations in Anambra and Kwara States.
The suspects include Romanus Nwabara, 60, Amos Kenneth, 25, and Usman Salisu, all apprehended in different locations between May 6 and May 8, 2026.
In the first operation, Nwabara was tracked down to Akpaka Forest in Onitsha, Anambra State, where he was found in possession of 250 grams of skunk already packaged in retail sachets.
In a separate raid on May 7 in the Ogbunike area of the state, NDLEA operatives arrested Amos Kenneth, who was allegedly found with multiple illicit substances, including 160.3 grams of Tramadol (225mg and 100mg variants), 80 pills of Diazepam, 38.23 grams of Exol-5, and 176.93 grams of skunk.
In another interception on May 8 along Bode Saadu in Kwara State, NDLEA officers stopped a commercial vehicle and discovered 6.3 kilograms of skunk concealed inside a brown school bag belonging to Usman Salisu, one of the passengers.
The NDLEA said the arrests were part of ongoing interdiction efforts aimed at curbing drug trafficking across the country.
