The Presidency has dismissed claims that President Bola Tinubu promised Nigerians a flawless country within three years, describing such expectations as unrealistic.
Special Adviser on Media and Public Communication, Sunday Dare, made this known in a statement on X on Monday, insisting that no nation resolves all its challenges within a single term.
According to him, the opposition has resorted to attacking the achievements of the Renewed Hope Agenda because it lacks fresh ideas and a credible alternative plan.
He said: “Campaigning against the results and impact of the Renewed Hope Agenda is now their stock in trade. No original ideas. No blueprint.”
Dare maintained that Tinubu never promised instant transformation, noting that nation-building is a gradual process that no country has completed in just four years.
He added that the presidency would continue to highlight the administration’s achievements despite what he called relentless attacks from the opposition, whom he accused of being driven by desperation for power rather than genuine solutions for citizens.
Dare further stated that the ongoing economic reforms are aimed at rebuilding the foundational pillars of Nigeria’s economy, stressing that those criticizing the government have nothing tangible to offer beyond their ambition to seize power.
He rounded off his remarks with an appreciation to a supporter identified as Ada, thanking her for speaking uncomfortable truths and shedding light on issues he claimed critics were trying to suppress.
