Shina Adisa Peller’s name is synonymous with lifestyle, luxury and nightlife expertise. He excelled in various industries, including entertainment, hospitality and oil and gas, before venturing into politics. As the Chairman of Aquilla Groups, he was highly regarded in the entertainment scene, particularly for his upscale nightclub Quilox, located on Ozumba Mbadigwe Way in Victoria Island, Lagos. Quilox became a premier destination for those seeking a luxurious nightlife experience, attracting celebrities, high-net-worth individuals, and socialites from across Lagos and beyond. For many years, it remained a hotspot, but his full transition into politics in 2018-2019 coincided with a decline in its influence.
In 2019, Peller contested and won a seat in the Nigerian House of Representatives, representing the Iseyin, Itesiwaju, Kajola, and Iwajowa Federal Constituency, which covers parts of Oke-Ogun in Oyo State. His election marked the beginning of his political career, during which he became known as a vocal advocate for youth rights and justice. He sponsored legislation, championed development projects, and worked tirelessly to bring infrastructural improvements to his constituency. His political influence grew rapidly, making him a notable figure in the National Assembly.
As the 2023 general elections approached, Peller aspired to advance his political career by seeking a Senate seat to represent Oyo North at the Nigerian Senate in Abuja. When he turned 50 last week, he sought to mark the milestone with a memorable celebration rather than a conventional party. On social media, he surprised many by giving away cash to numerous individuals, spreading joy and gratitude among his followers.
On May 20th, friends and family gathered at the luxurious Five Palm Resort on Oniru in Lagos State for a surprise birthday celebration. The event was a glamorous black-tie affair, catching Peller completely off guard. His wife, Ayobola Peller, his daughter, and his mother were present to share the special moment. The celebration attracted leading Lagos socialites, top billionaires, and influential personalities, all eager to honor him. The legendary Fuji musician KWAM 1 delivered a captivating performance from the bandstand, delighting the guests.
As the declared candidate of the Allied People’s Movement (APM) for the 2027 Oyo North Senatorial District, Peller’s wife, Ayobola, delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude for the support that made the surprise birthday celebration a memorable and joyful event.
