Controversial Nollywood actress Esther Nwachukwu has sparked widespread debate after revealing that she prefers romantic relationships with married men rather than single men, saying she believes they are more mature and understanding.
The actress made the remarks during a recent appearance on The Honest Bunch Podcast, where she spoke candidly about her views on relationships, marriage, infidelity and financial security.
According to Nwachukwu, she intentionally avoids dating single men because she considers married men to be more emotionally mature.
“I don’t have sex with single guys. I go for married men. Married men are more mature. They understand you,” she said during the interview.
She also claimed that some married men intentionally restrain themselves during intimate encounters outside their marriages to avoid raising suspicion from their wives.
“Some lazy married men don’t last in bed because they want to save their strength so that their wives won’t know they have had sex outside,” she said.
The actress further disclosed that financial security ranks higher than faithfulness in her choice of a partner. According to her, she is less concerned about a man’s infidelity if he is financially supportive.
“I don’t care if a man cheats on me as long as he gives me money. Money is love,” she stated.
Nwachukwu argued that many women today place greater emphasis on financial stability than romantic affection, adding that her personal background has influenced her priorities in relationships.
“In this generation, women love money more than love. I need to elevate myself. I wasn’t born with poverty,” she said.
Speaking further, the actress said she would not object to marrying a polygamous man, explaining that her main goal is to enjoy a comfortable life rather than being the only wife.
“I am available to marry a man that has six wives. I just want to be comfortable. I am coming from a poor background, so I cannot end up in a poor home,” she added.
Her comments have since generated mixed reactions across social media platforms, with many Nigerians expressing differing opinions on her views regarding relationships, marriage, fidelity and the role of financial security in choosing a life partner.
While some social media users described her remarks as controversial and materialistic, others argued that she was simply expressing her personal preferences.
