Kidnappers have released all remaining schoolchildren and teachers abducted during the May 15 attack on Ahoro-Esiele community in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, THISDAY can confirm.
Heavily armed gunmen had stormed the community and seized 46 victims, including pupils, teachers, and the school’s principal, sparking outrage across the country.
The abduction turned tragic days later when the kidnappers beheaded one of the captured teachers, Michael Oyedokun.
THISDAY has now confirmed authorities secured the release of the remaining victims, though officials have yet to disclose details of the rescue operation or say whether they made any arrests.
