Nigerian comedian Seyi Law has publicly criticised Isaac Fayose, younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, following his recent call for President Bola Tinubu to resign or face impeachment.
Cityspy news reports that Isaac Fayose, in a video shared on social media, lamented the worsening economic hardship in the country. He claimed that rising fuel prices have made transportation difficult for many Nigerians and alleged that roads in Lagos now appear less busy due to reduced vehicular movement.
In his remarks, Fayose urged President Tinubu to step down or be impeached by the Senate, citing what he described as growing public frustration over economic conditions.
Responding via his X (formerly Twitter) account, Seyi Law dismissed Fayose’s claims, arguing that developments in infrastructure and transportation have significantly eased traffic in parts of Lagos.
According to him, anyone paying attention would notice improvements such as the operational Blue and Red rail lines, ongoing road rehabilitation, and new projects like the Lekki-Epe Expressway and the coastal highway, all of which he said have contributed to reduced congestion.
He wrote that those developments are responsible for the noticeable change in traffic patterns in the state.
Meanwhile, Isaac Fayose has recently been vocal about national political issues, including criticising former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s decision to contest the 2027 presidential election, describing the move as self-serving and politically insensitive.
Fayose also argued that Atiku’s continued presidential ambitions could indirectly strengthen President Tinubu’s political position ahead of the next general election.
