President Bola Tinubu won all 11 local government areas in the All Progressives Congress presidential primary held in Gombe State on Saturday, tallying 450,517 votes. His sole challenger, Stanley Osifo, received no votes across the entire state.
Gombe State Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya announced the results at APC Square, where he also served as the exercise coordinator. He confirmed that collation officers from all 11 local government areas submitted the figures and that the primary was conducted peacefully and in accordance with party guidelines.
Gombe LGA returned the highest figure for the president at 112,414 votes, followed by Yamaltu/Deba with 75,067. Other results showed Kwami contributing 25,305, Dukku 24,964, Billiri 23,675, Balanga 23,307, Kaltungo 22,998, Funakaye 22,761, Nafada 21,388, Shongom 12,765, and Akko 5,873.
Governor Yahaya noted that Gombe has 550,516 registered APC members and praised delegates and party officials for their orderly participation. The state results will be forwarded to Abuja for final collation and official declaration by the APC national leadership.
