Nigerian singer and producer, Young Jonn, has revealed that he is currently not in a position to commit to a serious romantic relationship or settle down with one partner.
In a recent interview on Afro Today, the 31-year-old explained that although he believes in love, he is not ready to dedicate the level of time and attention that a committed relationship requires. According to him, it would not be fair to enter such a relationship when he may not be able to meet the expectations involved.
He added that for now, he prefers to keep his interactions with people simple, friendly, and non-committal, rather than engaging in serious romantic commitments.
“I’m not really in that space where I can give so much of myself to one person right now. So I’m just keeping things platonic with everyone,” he said.
He further noted that he is avoiding serious relationships at the moment because he does not want to place anyone in a situation where they might expect more emotional commitment than he can offer.
Young Jonn also hinted at his current approach to dating, suggesting he is still exploring and not focused on exclusivity at this stage of his life.
