Global football star Lionel Messi has stepped into club ownership after completing the purchase of Spanish side UE Cornellà.

Founded in 1951, Cornellà currently plays in the Tercera RFEF and sits third in its group, having already secured a place in the promotion play-offs. The club is widely respected for its youth academy, which has consistently produced players who have gone on to compete at elite levels.
Notable graduates include David Raya, Jordi Alba—a former teammate of Messi—and Keita Baldé, among others who have built successful careers across top leagues.
