Nollywood actor, Zubby Michael, has stated that he does not believe in the practice of paying tithe to the church.
The actor made the comment during an interview with Broadway TV, where he also described himself as the richest actor, claiming he recently earned about ₦102 million from movie roles.
According to him, he gave out ₦10.2 million—representing 10 percent of his earnings—to people on the street, explaining that he considers this his own form of tithe.
Zubby said his decision was influenced by his personal beliefs about religion and giving.
“I don’t pay tithe to the church. I don’t go to church. I don’t believe in paying tithe to the church,” he said.
He added that his donation was made directly to the needy rather than through a religious institution.
